Abstract
Biological attacks are a new form of terrorism that can have direct and indirect effects on the safety, well-being of society, people's lives and even future generations. By using various biological substances, these attacks have caused irreparable damage to the members of the society by creating fear and terror and causing physical and mental injuries and are considered a serious threat to public health, social security, etc. As a result, policymakers and experts in the field of criminal justice, in order to acknowledge the importance of such attacks and the resulting material, spiritual and security damages, have recognized the need for innovative measures to deal with and criminalize bioterrorism in the form of their legislative policy. Therefore, this research, while defining, explaining and analyzing the concept of biological terrorism (bioterrorism), examines the approach of Iran's legislative policy system regarding biological crimes with the aim of identifying the existing shortcomings and challenges in order to provide solutions to solve this problem. Gaps and deficiencies.
