Abstract
Suicide is always one of the most important issues that have prompted most countries to evaluate the various causes and factors related to it and provide a suitable solution in this field. It is difficult to identify suicide factors in any country due to the diversity of different cultures and ethnicities. According to the statistics obtained from the Welfare Organization and the General Department of Justice of Golestan province, women have the highest suicide rate, and the age groups of 15 to 24 years and urban residents and people with middle school education have the highest suicide rate. In this article, with access to various statistical sources regarding the percentage of suicide in Golestan province, a statistical investigation of suicide in this province has been done based on variables such as age, gender, education, employment, marital status and place of residence. The studies carried out in the research are analytical and descriptive and the findings indicate that in Golestan province, housewives and married women and young people have committed the most suicides, and the economic and emotional reasons are the most important factors in committing suicides.
