Abstract
The present research has been written with the aim of fully examining the governing principles of appeals in the Criminal Procedure Law by examining the dimensions of this issue in the new approved law, to review the problems and outcomes of this law regarding appeals. This research is of theoretical type and the research method is descriptive-analytical and the method of data collection is library and has been done by referring to documents, books and articles. It is evident in the Criminal Procedure Law of 2012 that the legislator has taken a more formal procedure than the previous laws. Article 434 of the Criminal Procedure Law approved in 2013, in 4 clauses, has determined the appeal procedures, based on these cases, the convicted person, his lawyer or legal representative, the plaintiff, and the prosecutor will have the right to request an appeal. The cases and directions of appeal include the claim of invalidity of the evidence or documents cited by the court; Claiming that the vote is against the law; The claim of lack of jurisdiction of the court issuing the decision or the existence of one of the reasons is the rejection of the judge and the claim of the court not paying attention to the evidence.
