Cultural criminology as a new trend in criminology, sociology and criminal justice examines the symmetry of culture and criminal processes in contemporary social life. Cultural criminology, as a meeting point of criminology and cultural studies, by distancing itself from the causes of generally external investigations and emphasizing too much on individual and structural contexts, considers crime and criminal to be a social construction as well, which is necessary for understanding They must have a serious reflection on the contexts, social context and power relations in the society. The present article looks at cultural crimes, describes and analyzes the tradition of cultural criminology and its capacities and challenges, examines the decriminalization of cultural crimes and the role of pacifist criminology teachings; He describes the concept of crime and the principles of criminalization from the perspective of peace-oriented discourse and considers the instrumental use of criminalization in cases that are contrary to the justified culture of the people as contrary to peace. In Iran, cultural crimes against the media are very wide and repressive to the point that many times it causes clashes of taste under the pretext of supporting culture instead of the active role of media. Also, in the education system, paying attention to the principles of criminology, especially in the content of textbooks, has been neglected.
