This article aims to analyze the "colored collars" in crime classification, focusing on blue collar crimes, and examines the characteristics of offenders and the nature of these crimes. Blue collar crimes, mainly committed by working-class or manual workers, are often accompanied by physical violence and occur in public or work environments. The main motives for these crimes are usually immediate financial or personal, and the methods of their commission are simple. The present study, relying on the analytical method and systematic review of the literature, shows that several factors, including poverty, unemployment, inadequate living environment, low education level, addiction, lack of social support, psychological factors, access to weapons, and social and economic inequalities, play a central role in their formation. The comparative analysis highlights the differences between blue-collar crime and other “colored collars” (such as white-collar, green-collar, red-collar, gold-collar, pink-collar, and black-collar) in terms of the nature of violence, the simplicity of the method, and the social status of the perpetrators. Finally, the article presents effective preventive and countermeasures, the most important of which include creating job opportunities, improving the living environment, education and skills training, addiction prevention and treatment programs, increasing targeted police supervision, establishing secure reporting systems, and strengthening community participation. These strategies, which are mainly considered to be the tasks of the executive branch, can help to sustainably reduce blue-collar crime and its negative impacts on society and provide a basis for policymakers and professionals to design effective programs.
